"Supporting the Light"
A short note about this song...
The inspiration for this song came from listening to Robin Mark’s ‘Revival in Belfast 2’. I was actually ironing some shirts at the time and singing along to Robin’s CD. There is a point, as Robin ends one song and is moving to the next, when he declares – ‘Your kingdom O Lord will last forever!’
This statement got a hold of me and, picking up my guitar, I began to declare the many titles given to our Lord. Quickly I was taken up by the whole scene of whom Christ is and didn’t stop singing until I had included as many name titles of the Lord as the Spirit brought to my remembrance.
The recording used here is a live recording of the first occasion we used it in our worship service. The band had not actually practiced it, only played along with me as I introduced it to them before the service, so there are many errors, and we still had not settled on the tempo. It is not very refined but it is big in enthusiasm and will give you a idea of how it sounds.
